death

Synonyms: dies, die, died

Pre-analysis assumption: “death” means the exhaustion of one’s sexual excitement, the passing, for once, of the physical capacity to have intercourse. (“resurrection” must come first, before another “death” may occur.) Thus “death” is climax and collapse for penis, orgasm and exhaustion for vagina. Climactic collapse and orgasmic exhaustion then would be the correct translation of the symbol. Conversely “life” would be the state of erotic excitement, the latent capacity for immediate intercourse (though presumably needing the stimulus). Not to have orgasm after the awakening to “life” could therefore be the most unnatural frustration: a death without the dying.
